Lord of the Rings Video Slot Coming Soon

Microgaming has launched many movie-themed video slots in the past, but none will be bigger than Lord of the Rings, set to be released September 2.

Based on the famous trilogy of movies, the video slot will show original footage in the background and between spins, taken from scenes including the Attack on the Weathertop and the Ringwraiths.

All the major characters from the movies will feature on the reels, including Frodo, Aragorn, Saruman and the Black Riders.

Originally a novel containing three volumes - The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King - Lord of the Rings was turned into three full-length feature films, beginning with the first volume in 2001.

Directed by Peter Jackson and starring Elijah Wood as the hobbit Frodo Baggins, Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring won four Oscars and is one of the 20 highest grossing films of all time.
