Association of British Bookmakers (ABB)

The Association of British Bookmakers (ABB) functions as the United Kingdom's premier trade association for off-course bookies. Members of the ABB operate and control some 85% of the UK's 8,500 sports betting shops. The overall goal of this organization is provide a safe and secure atmosphere where social responsibility exists alongside a profitable sports betting sector.

The ABB provides for an all-inclusive environment where superior audio-visual effects and total qualitygaming are the order of the day. The ABB seeks to create, maintain and deliver top-tier betting shop operators with an eye to competitiveness and prosperity.

There are some 7,100 betting shops - many of them with online gambling operations - operating in consonance with the ABB. Some 4 of every 5 UK betting shop operators and 150 mid-sized and smaller sports betting enterprises form part of the ABB. This organization works with lobbyists in the UK and beyond and provides a safe & secure environment for players and punters the world over.
