The GREaT Foundation

The GREaT Foundation has, since established in June 2009, raised over £5 million through voluntary donations from various organizations, online gambling companies included, in support of research, education and treatment of problem gambling.  Moreover, GREaT provides actual help and consulting to problem gamblers, in association with GamCare.

GREaT, which stands for Gambling Research, Education and Treatment (of problem gambling), provide the funds it raises to the Responsible Gambling Fund to support research, education and treatment projects.

The foundation request that organizations that actually derive income from gambling make a donation at the rate of 0.085%. Other organizations that are involved in gambling but do not derive income directly from it, such as banks, lawyers and accountants, are asked to donate at the rate of 0.85%.
