A not-for-profit trade organisation that aims to resolve issues and disputes within the global online gambling industry.
The Interactive Gaming Council (IGC) is a non-profit trade association that "serves as a collective voice for the interactive gaming industry." The IGC has set itself the task of championing the challenges and opportunities that face the online gambling industry worldwide.
The IGC's mission statement is to ensure the online gambling business maintains a high level of fairness, accountability, and integrity. Members of the IGC are obliged to abide by the advertising standards, codes of conduct, and responsible gambling guidelines of the countries in which they reside.
The organisation also provides a platform for dispute resolution where members agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the licensing authority. In the absence of a licensing authority, parties agree to accept arbitration of any dispute before the IGC.
