England Faves to Sweep Euro 2012 QualifiersPublished October 12, 2010
Rio Ferdinand tipped to wear captain's armband for remainder of series.
William Hill is quoting 3/1 on England to win all of its matches in qualifying for Euro 2012, as the national team prepares for Tuesday night's home fixture against Montenegro.
England is currently two from two and faces eight more matches in Group G, which also includes Switzerland, Bulgaria and Wales.
The boys are 6/4 to score 16-18 goals over the entire qualifying period, 7/4 to score 19-21 goals, 11/4 to score more than 21 and 7/1 to score between 13 and 15 goals.
They are 6/4 to score 19-21 points (equivalent to 6-7 wins), 8/1 to finish with a disappointing 16-8 points, and 9/1 to fail to qualify for the tournament at all.
As for the big debate over team positions, Rio Ferdinand is 6/4 to start as skipper for the remainder of the qualifying games, while Joe Hart is 3/10 to start every game as goalkeeper.
Unsurprisingly, England will start the Montenegro match as a firm favorite, with William Hill Sports offering odds of 1/4, against the draw, 4/1, and a Montenegro victory, 14/1.
Wayne Rooney is 4/7 to start and complete the game, while 5/4 odds say he will fail to see out the full 90 minutes. Bolton's Kevin Davies was a surprise call-up to the squad and is considered a 1/3 chance to play some part in the match.
The game starts at 7 P.M. local time at Wembley Stadium.
