LeoVegas Awards Apple Watch After Bungee CompetitionPublished May 5, 2015
Brave Apple fan wins a new smartwatch after dropping 160 feet in a bungee promotion.
With the release of the new Apple Watch, Leo Vegas Casino ran a special promotion in Manchester, UK that jumped things off a bit. The online casino awarded one of the new gadgets to the participant who maintained the calmest heartrate during a bungee jump at Salford Quays.
72 Beats per Minute
The winner turned out to be an electrician from Dagenham by the name of Steve Thorn, who despite being terrified of heights and having never done something like this before, maintained an average heart-rate of 72 beats/minute during the 160-foot drop. 60 brave fans took part in the competition and tried to keep their cool throughout the descent.
Steve stated that he was in Manchester for a whole other reason and had some time to kill when he learned about the bungee competition. He decided to take part in it without the smallest expectation of winning and when he finally got his feet on the ground, he was overwhelmed with emotions. When the competition was over, LeoVegas Casino announced that Steve was actually the calmest and declared him the winner of a brand new Apple Watch.
